How to Use Character Creation Files in PSO2 NGS
Sector Report / ARKS

If you want to skip adjusting every single slider manually, downloading a character file (Creation Data) and loading it directly into the game is the fastest way to go.

While you can always adjust character sliders manually, using pre-made character files is a much faster alternative. Based on player requests, I am now providing these files alongside the recipes. They are intentionally configured as a "base face" template, ensuring that anyone can load the structure regardless of their current fashion inventory.

Quick Note

However, there is one important thing to keep in mind: These files only save the slider values, not the cosmetic items themselves.

Step 1 : Move the File to the Game Folder

Once you have downloaded the character creation file, move it to the official Documents folder where PSO2: NGS stores its character data . The exact directory depends on the platform you use:

  • Steam Version : Documents\SEGA\PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA_STEAM
  • MS Store Version : Documents\SEGA\PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA
  • Epic Games Version : Documents\SEGA\PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA_EPICGAMES
Note

For PlayStation, Mac, Linux, Switch, Xbox users, the exact folder path may vary. But don't worry, if you cannot use this file method—I will always post the manual slider screenshots for every recipe so you can still replicate the look.

Step 2 : Open the Game and Enter the Salon

Once the file is in the correct folder, launch PSO2: NGS and head over to the Salon. Inside the Salon, look for the Creation Data Management menu (the folder icon located at the very bottom of the left-hand menu).

In this menu, you have two options for applying the character file:

  • Load Creation Data : This will apply the entire recipe, including the face structure and all body proportions. Note: This will overwrite your current character's body shape, so you may need to readjust your height later.
  • Load Face Data : This is the best option if you only want to copy the face without changing or messing up your character's existing body proportions.

Step 3 : Equip Your Fashion Items

ARKS

Wait, I just loaded the creation file but my character looks completely weird and the body proportions feel a bit off. Did I break something?

AISAGA

Don't panic! The file only get that default base look. Just equip the matching fashion items manually and tweak the body shape a bit if it shifted!

When you initially load the character file, it will only look like the bare "BASE FACE PREVIEW" included in my posts. However, once you manually equip the corresponding fashion items listed in the recipe, the final look will come together.

Here is an example comparing the character right after loading the base file and putting on the proper fashion items:

ARKS

Alright, I'll give it a shot and match it with the fashion items I currently have. Let's see how it turns out!

AISAGA

That's the spirit! Once you have equipped all the required items and everything looks perfect, simply click Save Changes to apply the look. Your new character is now ready! Hope this helps~

ARKS

Yes! It's Work! Thank you so much~!

AISAGA

You're very welcome! See you around~
